Workshop environment

Picture
We all know just how wonderful it is to share ideas on claydays.  We also know what a buzz there can be when we attend workshops with exceptional teachers.   Fiona will introduce herself at the beginning of this workshop and give you the first set of instructions. You can, of course, ask questions.   She will then go away while you do that work.  When we are all ready she will return to answer any more questions, discuss what we have been doing, and then she will show us the next step.  This will continue until the end of the day: just like any other workshop!

Fiona will be live
on a large Monitor

Fiona is already well respected for her work and her teaching ability.  You will undoubtely have seen her free videos on YouTube.
After much discussion it was decided that the optimum way for you to see the detail of what she is doing in this workshop is for Fiona to video her demonstration.

This is a pilot workshop

Because this is a pilot workshop - the first of its kind, and  a never seen before workshop from Fiona,  Fiona has generously offered to do the workshop at a reduced rate, so you are getting a top quality workshop, and the expertise of a top quality teacher, for a much reduced fee.

And that is not all:
A real bonus for any workshop:  Fiona is choosing to give you access to her full video tutorial too.  This you will receive after the workshop.

Fiona has videoed the workshop

Fiona will discuss her demonstration with you live, stopping and starting whenever questions are asked or she wishes to make comment.  Discussion will be inevitable!  We have the technology for you to hear her clearly and for her to hear, and see you.  Be warned - we have a roving camera!

You will have a copy of the video

Picture
you will get access to her full video tutorial, ‘Winter Petals, Summer Blooms Bangle Tutorial’, so that you can revisit everything we have done on the day in your own time. The tutorial will only be launched for everyone else to buy, after this workshop.

Fiona has something to say:

I am so looking forward to having this opportunity to share my new workshop with you. It will be wonderful to be ‘with’ you for a full day, where I can take you through the whole process of creating a finished piece and be able to answer any questions you have there and then.
On the day we will make a Winter Petals bangle, as this design is achievable within a single workshop, but the process and techniques we use, will also cover everything you need to be able to create a companion bangle, Summer Blooms, in your own time.
The workshop covers all aspects of creating the bangle and will include tips and techniques throughout. We will cover:
  • Different ways of constructing bangle blanks
  • Sizing blanks to suit your requirements
  • Colour choices
  • Lining bangles
  • Creating seamless backgrounds for the design
  • Creating a petal and centre canes
  • Adding canes into a background
  • How to make your design work on a bangle
  • Giving a professional finish to your work
  • General finishing techniques.
So please do book a place if you like the sound of what we are doing and are able to get to Penny’s wonderful home. I am really looking forward to being with you in November.

If you want to hear much more from Fiona she tells you a bit about herself and her background here in this downloadable document
